Sunday Hours

The Library is closed Sunday from mid-June through mid-September and the end of November through mid-January. Check our online calendar for specific dates.

The Cherry Hill Public Library is open 32 Sundays each year.

In November 2011 the Board of Trustees was faced with difficult financial decisions due to cutbacks in state aid. Based on library usage, it was decided to limit Sunday hours. CHPL had always been closed in the summer, but additional Sunday closures were added in December/January to help offset operating costs. We are sympathetic to the members of the community that this effects, but we are happy to report that our services (book budgets and digital resources) and programs, like our popular Summer Reading, were not effected. In fact, thanks to creative staff and support from the Friends of the Library and other community sponsors, we have been able to expand programs amid budget constraints.

We are here for you Monday-Thursday until 9 p.m. and every Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  And don’t forget we have many digital resources available 24/7 for student research and ebooks, audiobooks and more!
