Pride at the Library: Paris is Burning

The library is open! We're screening Jennie Livingston's 1990 documentary "Paris Is Burning," which showcases the legendary drag ball scene of New York City in the late 1980s. Find out where Madonna learned to vogue, why mopping isn't always a good thing, and how to properly throw shade.

 The critically acclaimed TV Series, “Downton Abbey,” has renewed popular interest in the Edwardian era, when King Edward VII reigned in the United Kingdom. 

Come learn about this fascinating time and the people who lived in it.

Though you don't have to be a "Downton Abbey" fan to enjoy this program, devoted fans may take more notice of certain details in the show after attending.
