Just about every day there is something going on at the Library! Visitors enjoy a variety of programs like meeting popular authors and artists to health and lifestyle workshops. The Library also offers an array of lively, monthly meet-up groups like our book clubs to writers groups and film series. See the list below to find a monthly group that suits your interest.
CHPL Book Club
First Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m.
If you enjoy reading and sharing your thoughts about books with others, look no further than the CHPL Book Club! Open to all members of the community.
Third Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m.
CHPL invites writers of all styles and skill levels to attend a monthly discussion group. Attendees can discuss their writings, improve their skills and offer encouragement to one another.
First and third Thursdays of every month at 10:30 a.m. (September - June)
Join us for coffee and refreshments while we enjoy a mix of presentations, lively exchanges on current issues and events, life-story swaps and, last but not least, fun and fellowship. Program topics and speakers vary.
Second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 2:30 p.m.
Do you knit, crochet or do needlework of any kind? Bring your own needles and any other supplies you need to sit and work on a your project with other crafters. This is not an instructional class.
Speaking of Poetry
Second Friday of every month at 2 p.m.
Meet local people who love poetry as much as you. Inspiring discussions about poetry, and poetic forms and styles provide an opportunity to read aloud and discuss poems - one’s own or another’s. With new topics every month, participants explore this literary art and learn from each other. Listeners always welcome!
Lit with Librarians Book Club
Third Tuesday of every month at 3 p.m.
A daytime book club for adults conducted by librarians from the Cherry Hill Public Library. No registration required.
Letter Writers Alliance
Fourth Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m.
If you enjoy written correspondence and are passionate about keeping the art of letter writing alive, attend this meeting to learn more about LWA. At each meeting, we’ll discuss upcoming meetings and events and have time to write letters! Some supplies will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite letter writing materials.
