Little Free Libraries in Cherry Hill!

LFL at Barclay

LFL at Croft Farm

On Nov. 21, 2014, the Cherry Hill Public Library and Cherry Hill Township unveiled three Little Free Library locations in Cherry Hill. Little Free Libraries are family-friendly "take a book, return a book" gathering places where neighbors can share their favorite books. Anyone can borrow or contribute a book at any time. Locations include Barclay Farmstead (209 Barclay Lane) and Croft Farm (100 Bortons Mill Road). A third library at Old Orchard Park (Thornhill Road off of Old Orchard Road) is coming soon.

Thank you to artists Bob Minnick and Tracy Steele and the CHPL's Teen Activity Board for their creativity in designing the libraries. We hope you will visit them soon and often and be sure to let us know what you think on Facebook and Instagram!

Little Free Library FAQ

What is Little Free Library?
Little Free Library (LFL) is a "take a book, return a book" gathering place where neighbors share their favorite books. In its most basic form, a LFL is a box full of books where anyone may stop by and pick up a book (or two) and bring back another book to share.

Where are the Little Free Libraries in Cherry Hill?

Barclay Farmstead, 209 Barclay Lane
Croft Farm, 100 Bortons Mill Road
Old Orchard Park,
at Thornhill Road off Old Orchard Road

Do I need a library card to borrow from a Little Free Library? Nope! Little Free Libraries are not part of the Cherry Hill Public Library's borrowing system. Feel free to take a book and leave a book at any location, anytime.

How Can I Get Involved? Visit the LFLs, take books and donate books to keep the project going! We also encourage users to share their LFL activities on social media using #LittleFreeLibrary and #LFLCH. For further questions, visit or email CHPL at
